Dash is a new and immersive approach to world building.
Let’s take a look at the creative process with Dash!

What is Dash?
A World Building Tool for UE5
It includes a library of tools and actions, and a Content library. In order to give you a short breakdown what is included, you will find each tool, action and features of the Content Library here on the left so that you can get a basic understanding of each!
Library of Tools
This library of tools is created to help you create 3D environments in a fast, fun and efficient way. Whether you want to scatter vegetation, create vines, paint assets with physics, place hanging cables, channel pack some textures, etc… the range of tools we provide is second to none, and we take our time to make them as useful to you and others as possible. You can thus have dozens of small tools running in your scene, each handling a small or major aspect of your world.
These tools are non-intrusive. Their result works just fine with everything else in UE, from blueprints to PCG or even Houdini if you’re using it. You will find and use these tools either by using them directly from the Content Library, searching for them in the prompt bar or double clicking Dash to open up a scrollable list. All items in this list that is non-bold, is tools that needs to be opened to be used.
Content Library
It has a content browser because Unreal Engine’s is just not good enough. For example, you should be able to select a few bricks in your content browser, and as soon as you drop them in the viewport, start painting them around your scene using physics. Dash does that out of the box. Similarly, you should be able to leverage AI to tag your custom assets, thus making it easier to sift through them. If you have textures with leaves, you should be able to automatically cut them to create mesh cards, then use those leaves to create vines for example.
Again, Dash allows these smooth interactions: search through keywords; drag & drop content in the viewport, and have tools bound to your content to make stellar environments. By holding CTRL while dragging and dropping assets or materials from the Content Library you will get a dynamic menu with choices of what Dash tool you would like to use for the asset/material, Scattering, Physics paint, Vertex Blend Material, etc.
Library of Actions
Even though tools help you create environments faster, your workflow could still be overwhelmed with a bunch of small annoying tasks, that's why we have also included a bunch of Actions in our library. These include Procedural to Static and Convert to Foliage converters, Turn on Nanite or Nanite Tessellation or Draw Curve and Create Water. All of these leverages the systems of Unreal Engine in the backend but helps you accomplish the tasks quicker, as they are only a search away. You can distinguish these from the tools as these names are bold in the scrollable list you can open by double clicking the Dash icon.
